Money, Money, Money

K so Sam and Emma came up to me the other day and said they wanted to earn there own money for California this year so that they could buy whatever they wanted. I thought to myself 'This is great'. I think this is a great learning opportunity for these two to learn about the value of a dollar(I know I sound old). So over the weekend they decided they wanted to have a sale. So Sam and her good friend sold gatorade and then the next day Emma and Sam sold Homemade chocolate chip cookies. It was so funny and cute. The girls did a really good job and ended up clearing about $13 each. WOW! I was thinking they would get like $3, but the gatorade and cookies must have been better than I thought. :) We have such a great neighborhood that supports each other. So each of them came and bought something. I just want to say "Way to go Girls!" and I am very proud of you. The funny thing is that they think they can do this everyday, and so I had to break it to them that they couldn't and that they could do extra chores to earn money. I got a real big"uuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh".

These were our repeating customers. However Sam and Emma did make them pay there 25 cents. Dad didn't have a problem giving these 3 little ones a few quarters. I love things like this cause it reminds me of growing up and doing things like this with ALL MY NEIGHBORS and FRIENDS. Thanks for the memories 45th gals.

Valentine's Day

Well we really had a wonderful V-day. I am going to say it is one of my favorite holidays. The kids love it, they don't get to much candy, you don't have to invest in so many things or gifts, and you get to tell the kids that they can't fight on Valentine's Day. :) So this year I got Corbin some sox, and the two older girls a "webkinz"(I love webkinz). The twins got new pink tights. For breakfast I had pink pancakes in heart shape, with milk and butter. Then the kids had a fun at school and came home so happy.

Now onto bragging about my Valentine.
Bret knows me so well and so this year for my Valentine gift he got me my very own box of yummy donuts(thanks Kyle). He knows that I would of not liked him wasting money on flowers or chocolate when donuts make me just as happy. Lets just say that I had at least 4 donuts yesterday and I loved every one of them. Love ya hunn! Bret Rocks.

Getting Ready for the Big V-Day!

Valentines FHE events

For our FHE we did all the fun Valentine's Day activities, and boy did we have fun. The kids wrote out all of there candy Valentines while the whole time asking if they get one from thereselves.

We decorated heart shape sugar cookies. After we were done all 3 of the kids were licking the frosting off the cookies and knives(I know- crazy mom.). Don't worry I threw away the cookies that they lick the frosting off of. I enjoy this time of year with kids. They love to talk about "LOVE", and it cracks me up to here what they think.

Watch out David Beckham

Here comes CORBIN

On Saturday Corbin had his first soccer game and boy did he have fun. He has been counting down the days for this been event.
He did so good and had so much fun. He even scored a goal. We found with him that he has a very serious attitude and that there is NO ROOM for FUNNY BUISNESS. This is the face he had the whole time he was playing.
This is his FAN CLUB(aka groupies). Everyone was so excited for him and we have such amazing family and friends that came out to support him. Thanks to everyone who made Corbin realize how important he is to you.

These were the CHEERLEADERS. They were on there break eating powder donuts building up more energy to go back to cheerleading.

GOOOOOO CORBIN!!!!!!

This is Corbin and his really good buddy Grady. They are on the same team and they got so excited to get there treats after the hard game(Can't you tell by Corbin's face expression). Corbin is already asking when his next game is.
