Lisa turned 40!

My sister turned 40 so you know what that means....
Girls trip!

My wonderful brother in law flew me and my mom up to see Lisa for her birthday. It was so nice and relaxing. We never stopped-we went to an amusement park in Park City and did some fun rides. Then we did some shopping, and of course we ate ALOT. We got to go to a farmers market and to the movies. I am telling ya it was amazing.

We also got a pedicure, and ate ALOT. Watched my niece play in a softball game, and ate ALOT. Seriously I have so many more pictures of us just eating.

Lisa I hope you had a great birthday(I know I loved your birthday). You are the best sister ever and I love ya so much.

Corbin turned 5!!!

Corbin is 5

I love my Corbin. He was born on May 17th 2004(I know I am way behind of this blog thing.). But when we found out we were having a boy we were so excited. We named him after one of Bret's mission companions lasts name. He is an only boy and is a GREAT brother. He has 2 older sisters and 2 younger sisters so we call him a Corbin sandwich. He is alot like his dad in the way of being accident prone.

He loves sports. Anything that has to do with running, hitting, throwing, catching, dribbling, .....well you get the picture. He also likes spider-man and batman. This is a picture of him with his face painted at Legoland, and of him at his 3rd birthday party with a spider-man cake.
He is always saying how he can't wait until he is as big as his dad.
We love our Corbin and are very thankful that he is in our family. He is starting kindergarten this year and I am going to miss having my little buddy with me. He help me keep the twins entertained and loves to help me get lunch ready. I sure do love this guy.

My oldest turned 9! Happy Birthday Samantha!

Samantha's 9!
Happy Birthday Samantha! What an adventure life has been with you in it. First I want to say that you were the only kid who was late on their due date. 2 days late to be exact. This is a 4 generation picture of you after your blessing. There is granny-great, grandma Jo, me, and you.

Samantha is always full of energy. She loves to ride horses, and do gymnastics. She can do her back hand spring, and is working on getting her Aerial(sp?-a cartwheel without hands). She does very well in school and always tries her best.
This is a picture of Samantha's first day of kindergarten. She was so ready for school and still likes to wake up at 6:15 a.m. to get ready. Oh yeah she is NOT camera shy at all. She is always looking for a camera so she can strike a pose.
We are very proud of Samantha and her decisions that she has made through out her life.Samantha thank you for coming to our family. We love you

Twins turned 3!

Well it is official. The twins turned 3! I am very excited about them being 3 and hope that this year will be a learning and growing experience for all of us. Having 2 2year old twins was very hard. They made life very interesting and busy. While I did enjoy them being 2- I can't wait to see how much they will learn and grow and hopefully slow down this year.

We had a birthday party for them at the park. We did a little Easter egg hunt, ate cupcakes, and opened presents. This is a picture of all the twins friends at the party. Very cute little bunch.

AUDREY
Audrey was "baby A" and was also the smaller of the two weighing 4 lbs. 15 oz.. She came out ready for life. When she was just a day old the nurse was holding her over her shoulder and Audrey lifted her head and turned it with complete control. You should of seen our faces. From that I should of know what kind of FIRECRACKER personality she would have. She is very energetic, fun spirited, and her favorite food is nachos. She is a total crack up. We had one of Audrey's nursery teachers put it best. She said "Audrey has such a BIG spirit for such a small body". And boy does she.

MALLORY
Mallory was "baby B" and weighed 5 lbs. 13 oz.. She was delivered breached. If you haven't heard that story remind me and I will tell you later. Mallory is very shy, soft, sensitive, and a total mama's girl-which I absolutely love. Finally out of 5 kids I get a mama's girl. Mallory's favorite food is ice cream and she loves to wash her hands. She gets that from me. She also likes to comb hair. She always asks me if she can brush my hair and I love it.

Now this is funny

She seriously cracks me up
Yep that is Audrey wiping our dogs(Tessa) bum with a wippie. The kids were all in the back yard yesterday and Bret goes to check on them and starts to laugh and tells me to come here.
So I look in the back yard and there was Audrey about 5 inches from Tessa's bum just staring at it.So Bret asked her what she was doing and she said that 'Tessa has poop on her bum". Bret says to her 'oh yeah- what are you going to do about it'. Audrey then thinks and says 'I need a wippie'.

So she runs in the house and grabs a wippie and starts to follow the dog around the back yard trying to wipe her bum. It was so funny. The dog was trying to get away from her, but if you know Audrey you know that she is pretty determined and stubborn so needless to say the dog loss. Now if I could just get Audrey to be potty trained herself we would be in good shape. I am offering $50 if someone wants to potty train my twins. I am being so serious.

Happy Happy Birthday Emma Dear

Emma

I love her! She is an amazing girl and has a love for life.

She is a GREAT sister. This is her holding Mallory at the hospital. She always tells me that she can't wait until she is old enough to babysit. She is just so SWEET.

Being her mom I think and know she is BRILLIANT. She is one of the smartest in her class and always plays teacher on her dry erase board. Isn't she just so stinkin cute?

She loves to get all pretty and ready. Every Sunday she asked me if she can wear a little of my lip stick. So she shows up to church looking her best.
She is always smiling and posing for the camera. I love how she is just naturally happy.
The girl can shake her thang. She can dance and do tumbling. Along with that she plays soccer and softball. What a girl!
Emma is a sweet, kind, giving, understand, smart, compassionate, enthusiastic, patient CHILD OF GOD. We love her and are very proud of her. She makes us laugh and smile everyday and we thank our Heavenly Father for sending her to us. We Love You Emma!

My friend Shelly

My friend Shelly

I have a very dear friend Shelly. I have known her since I was 3. She lived in the house that was just behind mine for years and she would always jump the fence and come hang out with me. One of my most memorable moments with Shelly was the year I ran for student body treasure in 7th grade and I lost. Well Shelly was the first friend to call me that day to ask if she could come over and hang out. It was just what I needed. Someone to make me laugh and forget about loosing earlier that day. She was always the nicest friend and made you want to be with her. We continued growing up in the same ward, schools, and have remained really close. We go out to lunch with "our gang" of girls from the good ol days about 4 times a year. It is one of my favorite things to do and I look forward it every time we get together. We don't skip a beat in conversation and pick up like we where 15 years old again.

Now having said that Shelly found out just about 1 month ago that she has breast cancer. She is an amazing mother of 5 adorable and young children, a wonderful wife, and a great daughter and friend. She is now going through Chemo and then after all her treatments she will have a double mastectomy. Ever since she informed me about her diagnose she has been the most optimistic person I know. She is so positive and enduring. Instead of asking "why me?". She is asking"What can I learn from this, and who can I help while I am going through this". She is truly a person who I look up to and hope to be like one day.

She has a blog of her own where she writes all about her feelings, thoughts, and how all her doctor appointments are going. Her most recent post she mentioned how she would like to help researchers find answers to breast cancer. So down below I copied what she wrote on her blog and a way we as woman can help. If you are interested please go and register.

Shelly I love you and think you are so amazing.

Dr. Susan Love told Robin Roberts yesterday on Good Morning America that she’s trying to recruit 1,000,000 women for the Army of Women, a group of women who on a volunteer basis will be part of research efforts aimed at determining what causes breast cancer. All women are invited to participate. Just sign up here. When you do, you’ll get an e-mail about opportunities for being involved.Love reports that about 200,000 women have signed up so far. She’s got a long way to go to hit that one-million mark. Just like we have a way to go to find that elusive cause of breast cancer. Help if you can.
